an alternative reading of being and inhabiting our city

With Artikulationsprozesse, Kelvin Atmadibrata, Tara Fatehi, Eunjung Kim, melissandre varin, and local artists of PAE Aktionslabor, create a series of encounters between language and movement through Performance Art in Cologne-Kalk

Movement in our spine is guided by small bony “articulation processes” on our vertebrae. Like the spine guides our movements – our bodies, materials and environment guide the ways in which we articulate processes that are difficult to put into language.Thus the works presented by the artists use performance art to create a series of encounters between language and movement.

The project seeks to create connections to our shared vulnerabilities by exploring processes that inform and question identities, roles and social expectations. The aim is to open up conversations about openness, fluidity and queer processes. In a non-verbal way, we learn to understand each other better through performance art. We invite everyone to attend the performances and participate in the process.
