OPEN – SOURCE PERFORMANCE
- is an attempt to bring together different artistic approaches in a group performance
- is openness to the collective process, which breaks away from individual concepts. This is where the coup lies: keeping perspectives and approaches movable and alive
- is like a network of encounters, a living constellation, a fabric, a swarm, or bubbling springs
- is mobile, polyphonic, permeable, flexible – responding to what is there
- is being-with: an interplay of offering presence, holding space and sounding out in the moment, so that dynamics can unfold and the unfamiliar can happen
OPEN–SOURCE PERFORMANCE
- is an continuous dialogue between the participants, the material, the space, and the viewers
- is inquisitiveness and experimentation
- is the exploration of forces at work, with or without material, the environment and each other
- is releasing what has been learned and making ambivalences tangible
- is an attempt and, as such, includes the possibility of failure
OPEN – SOURCE PERFORMANCE
- is a temporary social structure that exists for the duration of a performance and explores different ways of being together in mutual respect for diversity
- is change in process
- is social utopia
- is different each time—depending on where it takes place, who participates, and what unfolds, and therefore always open as it is
